Deaf Malaysian teacher's day - Amril Nurman Lokman

Amril Nurman Lokman is a role model of his teacher and grew up in Cued Speech Centre Deaf school at Kampung Pandan. He is pro-found Deaf in hearing level. His family is all hearing expected him and has taught him how to train his speech therapy for many years.

At his first experience, he was small and wear his hearing aids. He felt annoying, brink and headache. Then he took his hearings aid from his ear and threw his hearing aids outside. After 1 week, he has adapted his hearing in the sound environment and comfortable with his sounds. From now, he learns a lot of sounds and different sound tones from here to there. It made me a good experience and always feeling amazing.

Afterwards, his family brought him to a speech therapy centre for training and updating the sound environment and voices in his hearing aids. They exercise to listen while speaking words every day. I thanked his parents, his speech therapists and his teachers too for how they are very effortless. Eventually that, he feels much better than he didn’t hear at all from the pro-found Deaf level.

Now he is teaching his pupil at the primary school. He has a lot of patients and thinks about how to teach a pattern of ways and adapt his style of teaching. He is quite improved and even more closed his pupil because he has experienced through his knowledge of Deaf Education in Malaysia. He wanted to share his experience working video at Malaysia News through TV1 channel.
