Health Care and Sign Language Interpreter workshop

A workshop conducted by Dr. Jean Dagron, a French doctor who opened the first doctor's visit en sign language in Paris (1995).

Since 2009 he worked in Latin American countries (Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, and Columbia) and African countries (Cameroon, Tunisia) opening care units for the Deaf.

The workshop will focus on:

▪ACCESSIBLE HEALTH CARE AND ADEQUATE COMMUNICATION ACCESS THROUGH THE USE OF SIGN LANGUAGE AND/OR SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETERS TO ENSURE QUALITY HEALTH CARE SERVICES FOR THE DEAF

▪THE NEED FOR DEAF PROFESSIONALS AND THEIR ROLE IN HEALTH CARE
