The Deaf Volunteers invited the event by A Gift from Us under a NGO. Their company want to make promote a hospitality for learning Malaysia Sign Language. In Malaysia, they have a lack communication with a Deaf person because they don't know how to use sign language.
The learners want to learn Malaysia Sign Language with the Deaf volunteer because they can sign with a Deaf people in Malaysia. Eventually they are happy because they learn basic signing in the workshop. So the Deaf Volunteers thanked their project for promoting Malaysia Sign Language.
A college and an university don't provide Malaysia Sign Language class or workshop because MOE (Ministry of Education) is not important and not officially the language. Many students took Physical Education and the knowledge special of the education for Deaf studies in the university. Unfortunately, A special teachers didn't smooth Malaysia Sign language and really are lack understand their Deaf way. Some teachers hope a Deaf student can speak their voice in hearing world because they are simple for communicate with a Deaf students. They are not able to train their therapy speech and hard to listen their pronounce.
In the USA, the hearing students have to compulsory for learning ASL (America Sign Language) in a high school, a college and an university. Whatever that they are interesting to learn America Sign Language because it is more fun and more understanding for communicating with Deaf community. Many years later, they are growing up and more promoting ASL in Deaf community.
For Malaysia, it is very far and are complicated in the system education and Malaysia Sign Language. It takes a longer time for developing Malaysia Sign Language and growing their special education too.
